Day 1: Arrive in Guatemala City and transportation to Antigua.

Local birding outside of Antigua Bird Parque Cayala en route to Tarrales.

Day 3: Antuga to Tarrales Coffee Plantation and Parque Cayala.

Visit to park Cayalá on the way to Tarrales afternoon, Tarrales farm birding.
Dinner at Tarrales
Stay at Tarrales.

Day Two, December 5, 2024

Full-day birding at Tarrales
Breakfast, lunch, and Dinner at Tarrales.
Lodging at Tarrales.

Day Three, December 6, 2024

Morning birding at Tarrales and transfer to Santiago Atitlán Hotel Bambu.
Birding at the Atitlán lake spot sites
Lodging at Bambu Hotel.
Lunch at Typical Guatemalan restaurant
Dinner at Bambu restaurant.

Day Four, December 7, 2024

Birding at Tpepul Park for Quetzales.
Afternoon transfer to Panajachel for birding and Dinner

Day Five, December 8, 2024

Transfer to Corazón del Bosque for Pink Headed Warbler Location / habitat.
Travel to Quetzaltenango region.
Lodging in Quetzaltenango (xela).

Day Six, December 9, 2024

Transfer to San Rafael Pie de la Cuesta for Quetzales chase.
San Rafael – “Pie de la Cuesta” in English; – at foot of steep slope.

Day Seven, December 10, 2024

Visit to Fuentes Georginas farm for birding.
Travel to Antigua Guatemala a hot spot for warblers.
Visit Rincón Suizo Restaurant.
Lodging in Antigua.

Breakfast – birding, later transfer to El Pilar
Birding El Pilar farm for hummingbirds then transferring to airport.
Return to Guatemala City a 90-minute drive.
Trip ends in Guatemala City.
Depending on flight schedule we may stay an evening in Guatemala.
