Birding Ebbits’s Pass 8730 ft. Elv. and returning on Sonora Pass 9620 Ft. Elv. The second-highest pass in the Sierras Nevada.

We begin birding Hwy 4 at Big Trees State Park, birding along high-elevation Ebbitt’s Pass to Lake Topaz. We’ll spend the evening in the Lake Topaz Best Western Hotel. The following day, we begin our birding, driving south to Bridgeport Lake and on to Mono Lake, returning to the Best Western Lake Topaz.

Registration is open for four birders. I will provide you with a pick-up location and registration. The field trip includes a comfortable vehicle, fuel, two nights lodging in Best Western with breakfast included, bottled water, and guiding services. Meals and alcoholic beverages are not included.

2024 Birders Testimonial – I have traveled the world with the leading large venue birding tour companies. This small group venue was the first time I had a tour guide spend time with to get the bird photo I wanted. Rich showed 26 different Sage Thrashers in Mono County, CA. I took many poor photos, but he stuck with me until the last four hours of the trip day at the Bridgeport Reservoir; I shot my best photo of the trip, a keeper! Rich is an excellent field guide; he knows where to find the birds I needed, is calm and focused, and has a sense of humor during the day. Max Rodel Northern California
